Well technically I’m almost 39 weeks at this point. I can’t believe my due date is eight days away! I know it’s just an estimated date and that truly he could come up to two weeks after but it’s been fun counting down the weeks until this day arrives. We’re planning on having a “due date” date night if baby hasn’t arrived yet. No clue what we’re doing but hopefully it will involve gelato. 🙂 Here’s how the last two weeks have been going for me and Thing 3.
How far along: 38 weeks and 6 days
Maternity clothes: This question is pretty pointless now but yes! I only have a few outfits that really fit right now. Can’t wait to wear my regular clothes again soon!
Sleep: Up to 3 bathroom trips some nights which isn’t fun. Other than that, still sleeping really well.
Miss anything: Definitely ready for a nice glass of red wine. I had a super small sip of a delicious Pinot Noir at a cheese tasting Joe and I went to this week. Holy moly, was it good. I need to get a good bottle ready and waiting at home in which I’ll be able to have probably half a glass, but it’ll be worth it.
Best moment this week: This week has been full of lots of ups and downs for both Joe and I. We’ve had issues with both of our cars pop up (partially my fault) and I think we’re a little financially stressed out. Having unexpected expenses hit right before the baby is coming isn’t really fun, but I know we’ll get through it. We did get to see NEEDTOBREATHE in concert last week which was beyond awesome. They are my (our) favorite band and I could listen to them play live for hours. I won a free cheese tasting at Antonelli’s too which was fun and amazingly delicious!
Movement: Crazy active and uncomfortable for sure.
Food cravings: Hmm nothing is standing out to me this week. I’m still addicted to making this Paleo pizza crust. Other than that we are just trying to stick to eating as much local produce and meat as we can. The farmer’s market is overflowing right now!
Anything making you queasy or sick: My stomach has been feeling much better. Just heartburn from time to time. To be expected though.
Have you started to show yet: My belly is an open topic for conversation among anyone in public at this point.
Gender: Sometimes I’m still in a little bit of shock that we’re having a boy!
Happy or moody most of the time: A little more emotional over some things and experiencing lots of anticipation for what’s to come.
Looking forward to: My final week of work in the office is this week. Then I’m planning on working from home if baby hasn’t arrived yet until he shows up. I’m ready for a break from work and to enjoy my time at home once he arrives!
