Have two weeks already gone by? I feel like some days time is flying by too fast and others it seems to crawl. I think the waiting to find out if we are having a boy or girl will start to wear on me! We have our “big” ultrasound on May 6 where we could find out the gender, however we are going to have the technician write it down on a piece of paper and we are having a party May 17 to find out with our friends in Austin and some family. It’s going to be so hard not to look at that paper for those 11 days!
How far along: 18 weeks
Total weight gain: 5 lbs. (I went from gaining nothing for two weeks to gaining about 3 lbs. in one…)
Maternity clothes: Wearing a few maternity things, but mostly my regular clothes or larger sizes of things. In love with my maxi skirt…I need more.
Sleep: Good. I feel like I’m getting into a cocoon every night surround by my pillows but it’s super comfy. If only I could sleep through the night without having to go the bathroom at least once! I’m also still snoring periodically. Sorry Joe!
Miss anything: Sometimes I really wish I could have that nice glass of red wine. Even had a dream about trying to drink it the other night but I stopped myself in the dream. I can’t even drink in my dreams. C’mon!
Best moment this week: The beautiful weather. Spring is my favorite time of year in Texas and I’m trying to soak it all in before it gets unbearably hot!
Movement: Nothing that I’ve noticed but I’m thinking over the next few weeks I’ll be able to tell.
Food cravings: Back on yogurt with homemade granola and berries. But nothing else is really sticking out. Most all food has been tasting good lately.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Turned off by most greens (like cooked kale). I can manage a salad here or there but it’s gotta have tons of other toppings like meat, nuts, fruits and/or avocados.
Have you started to show yet: Belly’s growing. I think I could still hide it if I wanted but I’ve given up on that and would rather people know I’m pregnant at this point. My clothing options seem to be shrinking by the day too.
Gender: Find out May 17…ahhh! Both Joe and I are guessing it’s a boy…only time will tell.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy but have a moody day here or there where I get frustrated or angry really easy. No weepiness though.
Looking forward to: Feeling the baby move soon and finding out the gender! Also the next ultrasound. Looking forward to seeing how big the baby has gotten. 🙂 Hoping it’s not obvious what the gender is or our party will be a bust!
