Dear Enzo – 2022

Man bud, you continue to amaze me. You have been through a lot this past year.

  • Moving away from your best friend Calen
  • Becoming a big brother for the third time
  • Starting a new school
  • Sharing a bedroom with your sister

And somehow you’ve managed to be an example for me. For the most part, you are an incredibly generous person. You often play with your sisters, even if it’s not something you necessarily want to do. You frequently give away your stuff to others if they want it (Pokemon cards, Bey-blades, books). You listen when we ask you to do something and rarely complain about it. And you have started to take initiative (that means when you do things without being asked). You love to read and it’s been a joy to watch you grow.

I can talk to you about the hard things (like abortions) and you were able to grasp the situations that the families were in when we volunteered and built beds for those in need (none of them had any toys in their houses).

You almost always have a smile on your face, you almost never have a shirt on (even when it’s freezing but you often do put a robe on), and your hair is normally a wild mess. You are an amazing gift from God. Thank you for being an awesome son.

Over the next year I would like to see you talk more about your relationship with Jesus with your friends.
