Dilbert

Scott Adams makes me laugh almost every time I read one of his comic strips. Laughing in a time like this has been critical for me. I have been reading Dilbert for a long, long time. He puts a fun spin on workplace environments and reminds me not to take things too seriously.

I rarely make projects for myself, but when we started working from home, I knew I wanted to make something for myself. Trudging through numerous ideas, I landed on Dilbert. Initially I was planning on making a full strip but decided to scale it back and keep it extra simple. This was also my first attempt at a project like this so I didn’t want to overdo it. Since I made this for myself and my own enjoyment, I am partial but this was my favorite project that I have done to date.

With that said, I don’t really like to paint but I did paint the black background and the “white” wood that I used for his eyes and shirt wasn’t really white enough, so I did have to paint them.
