God’s Will

Over the past month or so, I asked people to vote on what topic to discuss this week.  The winner was “How to know God’s plan.”

I think before jumping into this topic, I need to address that God has a plan for everybody.  Some people ignore or pick and choose what he is calling them to do but regardless of our decisions, He still has a plan for us.  If we choose to follow that plan, our lives here on earth will be forever changed.  God doesn’t promise that it will be easy, in fact, it will probably be harder than anything you’ve ever done before.

So how do I know that God has plan for you?  One of the most popular verses for this topic is:

Jer 29:11 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Another great one is Jeremiah 1:1-5 (NIV)

The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Throughout the rest of the week, I will be giving tips on how you can learn God’s plan for you.  This is a very difficult topic so I will do my best to make it understandable.
