Life Lesson From a Child

Given the topic of this week, forgiveness, I decided to research a little on the experts…children.

I found this poem (here) that was written by a 6 year old regarding a bully:

Give Me Your Love

When I look at you, you have a really big smile
But I don’t.
You are pretty,
But I’m not.
Some of these people are friends
And that is friendship
But I know that other people are not kind and helpful.
They are bullies and I do not like it.
I have got an empty place in my heart.
I wish they were nice to me.
They have said sorry and are my friends now.
We like each other.

Makes forgiveness sound so simple, doesn’t it?

Next week I will be writing about my thoughts on “Should You Go To Church?”.

Also, since the site is getting a little more popular, how about another giveaway?  I like comments, it makes me feel like what I’m saying is helping you change your lives to get closer to God and they also help me.

So this week, I would like to hear your thoughts on why you feel you should or shouldn’t go to church.  Just throw a comment out there anytime between today and Monday for your chance to win a $15 giftcard to a place of your choosing (within reason).  Enjoy your weekend!
